Many things may be stressing you out the days before your session. One thing I found to be the most stressful is clothing. Here are a few tips and suggestions I found personally helpful.
Keep the location and weather in mind. If it is going to be cold outside wear layers over what you want to wear in photos to keep you warm while walking around. Wear proper shoes for the location. Heels are not a great walking/hiking shoe but please bring them along if you wish and we can switch shoes once we get to the location if you wish! If you have any questions regarding the location, weather, or clothing options please message me!
Bringing multiple options. Take into consideration the duration on the session, how many locations, and how many images come with your session package. Multiple outfits might be ideal for you to increase variety in your images. Keep in mind you will most likely have to change in your car so if this is not ideal for you you can either wear one outfit or wear layers that you can take off to create variety.
Colors. Think of the location and the vibe you want in your images. Colors can play a large role in the feeling your images provide when being displayed. I recommend neutral colors that compliment your surroundings. If you love the look of bright colors do what makes you happy and comfortable! When shooting with a couple or a group try to wear colors that compliment each other so that they do not clash in the images.
Props. Props are so much fun and I would love to include them in your shots! Blankets, scarves, pizza, bonfires, RVs, picnics, motorcycles, the back of a car or truck, and whatever else you can think of! Have an idea? Feel free to ask me about it! Pups are always welcome!
Hair and Makeup. Doing your hair and makeup is absolutely not necessary! Be yourself in any way you can, if this means a full face of makeup or absolutely none, that is perfect. I want you to be comfortable and happy during the session.
